All About Mrs. Rieger
I grew up locally in Concord and went to college at U.C.S.D.. I came home each summer to coach a recreational swim team for 5 years. My swim team had over 300 swimmers from the ages of 3 to 18 years old, those were the BEST summers I can remember! I majored in Psychology and minored in the Teacher Education Program at U.C.S.D.. I knew I wanted to be a teacher for as long as I can remember. I have always LOVED working with kids!
My husband Andy and I got married in 2001 and my son, Tommy was born in 2006. I was fortunate to be able to stay home with Tommy for many years. I missed teaching very much but I loved being a full time mom! When it was time for Tommy to go to Kindergarten I knew it was time for me to get back to my passion of teaching. I was very fortunate to have the opportunity to work at Creekside as my first year back teaching after being home with Tommy.
Creekside is an amazing school! I love teaching with such a supportive staff and community of parents. The students at Creekside are a wonderful group to work with on our path of learning and investigating the world around us! I look forward to my new group of students this year and to see where they lead my class. What new adventures will we go on together?
In my free time I love to visit family in Southern California, go to the beach, read, hang out with Mr. Rieger and Tommy, and go shopping!
